- A current CK Sales Co. distributor has sued Flowers Foods, Inc., Lepage Bakeries, LLC and CK Sales Co., LLC alleging that the companies misclassified distributors as independent contractors and violated Maine wage and hour laws defining overtime pay and wage deduction requirements. Flowers Foods, Inc, Lepage Bakeries, LLC, and CK Sales Co., LLC (called the “defendants” in this case) deny those allegations.
- The Court has allowed the lawsuit to be a class action on behalf of all persons who, at any time from December 2, 2012 continuing through entry of judgment in this case, worked as distributors for Lepage Bakeries, Inc. and/or CK Sales Co., LLC and personally serviced one or more territories in the State of Maine and were classified as independent contractors.
- The Court has not decided whether Flowers Foods, Lepage Bakeries, or CK Sales did anything wrong. There is no money available now, and no guarantee there will be. However, your legal rights are affected, and you have a choice to make now:
