Baillon Presents on Employment Settlement Agreements

October 13, 2017 – Firm partner Frances Baillon helped lead a panel discussion to the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association on drafting an effective employment settlement agreement. Frances, who represents employees exclusively, partnered with attorney Adrianna Shannon of Shannon Law, LLC, to share tips on reaching key terms of settlement in negotiations and drafting effective agreements. The presentation included a discussion about the importance of reducing critical terms to writing in a term sheet at the time of settlement, which claims can and cannot be released, and the importance of clarity and simplicity in the final employment settlement agreement.
