Baillon and Thome Named to Minnesota Lawyer’s POWER 30

Apr 27, 2021

Baillon Thome Jozwiak & Wanta LLP is proud to announce that firm partners Frances Baillon and Joni Thome were named to Minnesota Lawyer’s POWER 30 list. This latest issue examines “the power brokers who lead and influence various parts of the Minnesota legal community.” To determine those on this year’s employment lawyer list, Minnesota Lawyer “focused on those whose mere presence on a case signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.”

Frances and Joni co-founded Baillon Thome Jozwiak & Wanta LLP in 2011, along with Chris Jozwiak and Shawn Wanta. Their profiles in the POWER 30 highlights their 50 years of combined experience in employment law, specifically their expertise and accomplishments in workplace sexual harassment and transgender rights cases. Frances and Joni are also quoted in their profiles discussing the importance of improving civil rights laws and the rise of pandemic related employment cases in the past year.

Frances and Joni are experienced advocates for employees who have been treated unfairly by their employers. They have both successfully argued cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. They’ve been named to the lists of Super Lawyers, Top 50 Minnesota Women Super Lawyers, Top 100 Minnesota Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. Congratulations to Frances and Joni on this well-deserved recognition to the POWER 30.
