Cassie Navarro Featured in Attorney at Law Magazine

June 1, 2017 – Wanta Thome PLC associate Cassie Navarro was featured as a Next Generation attorney in the May 2017 issue of Attorney at Law magazine. The issue highlights up-and-coming attorneys who are shaping the Minnesota legal community across a range of practice areas, including employment law. Even before law school, Cassie knew she wanted to fight for the rights of individuals and work to make life better for them. After graduating summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law), Cassie joined the firm’s employment law team to advocate for employees facing discrimination, retaliation and harassment. Her compassion, dedication and client-driven approach to her practice mirrors the firm’s philosophy.

In short time, Cassie has developed a robust employment practice and broad skill set across many areas of employment law, including protecting employees affected by workplace drug and alcohol testing, pregnancy discrimination and other discriminatory practices by employers. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to validate someone and tell them, ‘You’ve been wronged, and this is how we’re going to fight for you.'”

In addition to her client work, Cassie has been a guest lecturer on employment discrimination at Mitchell Hamline and has presented on various employment law matters to members of the Minnesota State Bar Association and to the arts community.
