Jul 09, 2019

July 9, 2019 – This week, Super Lawyers announced that eight Baillon Thome Jozwiak & Wanta LLP attorneys were named to the lists of 2019 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. This marks the highest number of the firm’s attorneys receiving these recognitions. In addition, the firm is pleased to announce that Frances Baillon and Chris Jozwiak were named to the list of Top 100 Super Lawyers and that Frances and Joni Thome were named among the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers.

Super Lawyers is a research-driven, peer-influenced rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievements. Only 5% of practicing attorneys in Minnesota are awarded the distinction of Super Lawyer each year. The Top 100 and Top 50 Women distinctions are given to attorneys receiving the highest point totals in the Super Lawyers’ selection process. Baillon, Jozwiak and Thome have been recognized repeatedly as Super Lawyers for their work on behalf of employees in employment litigation. Kaarin Nelson Schaffer, a repeated recipient of Rising Star recognition, was also named to this year’s Super Lawyer list.

Super Lawyers similarly recognized Rising Stars – attorneys who have been in practice 10 years or less or are younger than 40. Only 2.5% of practicing attorneys in Minnesota are named Rising Stars. This year, Shawn Wanta was recognized again as a Rising Star for his work as a leading class action attorney. Further, Jerri Adams, Dustin Massie and Matt Nolan were recognized as Rising Stars for their work representing employees in employment litigation.

The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers magazines and locally in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business.
