Thome and Baillon Named 2012 Top Women Attorneys

Mar 02, 2013

Baillon Thome Jozwiak & Wanta is proud to announce that Joni M. Thome and Frances E. Baillon have been named to the 2012 Top Women Attorneys in Minnesota list by Super Lawyers. The list can be found in the April 2013 issue of Twin Cities Business magazine.

Founding partner Thome has been chosen as one of the “Top 50 Women Attorneys in Minnesota” this year. The complete list of these 50 elite attorneys can be accessed here. This award marks an impressive jump from her sterling record of being named one of the Top 100 Women Attorneys in Minnesota for five consecutive years, from 2007-20011. Thome has also been named a Super Lawyer 12 times in the last 13 years.  Amongst other distinctions, Thome was most recently awarded with the Minnesota Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association’s 2012 Karla Wahl Dedicated Advocacy Award.

In addition to the inclusion on the Top Women Attorneys in Minnesota list, founding partner Baillon has been selected as a Rising Star for six years, a distinction that fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys are named to each year.  Baillon has argued winning cases in front of the Minnesota Supreme Court, leads the firm’s appellate practice and currently sits on the MSBA’s Civil Jury Instruction Committee on employment law.

It is a distinct privilege to be recognized by Super Lawyers. The meticulous selection process consists of nominations and evaluations by peers, research by the committee and a blue ribbon review process. Only lawyers with the highest point totals are finalists on the prestigious list. More information about the highly selective process can be seen here.
