Six BTJW Attorneys Named 2017 Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

July 6, 2017 – This week, Super Lawyers announced that six Baillon Thome Jozwiak & Wanta LLP attorneys were named to the 2017 Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. Super Lawyers is a research-driven, peer influenced rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievements.

Attorneys Frances Baillon, Joni Thome and Chris Jozwiak were recognized again as Super Lawyers for their work on behalf of employees in employment litigation. Only 5% of practicing attorneys in Minnesota are awarded this distinction each year. In addition, Baillon was named one of Minnesota’s Top 100 Super Lawyers, a distinction given to top attorneys receiving the highest point totals in the Super Lawyers’ selection process. Both Baillon and Thome were also named Top 50 Women Super Lawyers. Thome, Baillon and Jozwiak are certified Labor and Employment Law Specialists by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Super Lawyers also recognized Rising Stars – attorneys who have been in practice for less than 10 years or are younger than 40. Only 2.5% of practicing attorneys in Minnesota are named Rising Stars. This year, Shawn Wanta was recognized again as a Rising Star for his work as a leading class action attorney. Similarly, Dustin Massie and Matt Nolan were recognized for their work representing employees in employment litigation.

The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazine and locally in Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business.
